Did a bunch of upper body with the kettle bell and even doing some full push-ups along with the knee push-ups. Don't think I've ever been this consistent with exercise, it's nice.

Yesterday I used my friends bench and did bicep curls between turns on a video game. Then we played with a ball outside. Today I'm doing pushups and working out with my kettle bell.

Did lots of easy work out videos on youtube today. Then I walked pretty far to the store and then road around on the bike I got at the store. Then walked some more.

Went extra hard on my pushups yesterday! Did a lot and tried going lower than usual. My abs hurt really bad today.

I have repeatedly picked up and put down my kettlebell! I also stretched and attempted a pushup.
I went to SCA rapier practice over the weekend and I'm very Aware of the muscle groups that were worked.

Got approved for intermediate Lyra last night.
I was fucking around with elbow hangs in the down time between practices... The first time, I misjudged the placement and pinched my skin on the bar. Which turned into a massive bruise within minutes. There was some skin abrasion. It has a nice purple-blue ring around the edge, now.
The second times, on the other arm? Those feel great. I could do those all day.
The next day, though. Holy shit, my elbow. It's been ages since THAT much soreness has been concentrated into THAT small a space.
Today has involved a lot of elbow stretching. It helps with the soreness.

Figured out that I can do some basic barre exercises and stretches over the railing while I'm collecting behavioural data without looking too weird so GUESS WHAT I DID TODAY
Also got air dropped by a scarlet ibis. I knew it. There was evil in those eyes. Petty malice in bird form.

Aerial hoop practise this week. My thighs have been tenderised, and my shoulders are still feeling it.

My Toes! I Can Touch Them!

Tried the standing forward bend. Still a good handlength from making fingertip contact with feet. Muscles are twinging. Sigh. It will come eventually.
Stay in position. Breathe in, breathe out, gently lower, repeat for a few rounds.
Walk around. Decide to try again.

Jumping Straight Into The Deep End

Currently in an introductory ballet program. It's very nice and casual!
The preparatory stretching from the weeks previous have (unsurprisingly) not been enough. There are tight hamstrings. There are tight calves. There is a lot of tightness. Some of that may be from nerve tension - so, time for nerve flossing. That forward bend has absolutely been lost in some year plus of not practicing it. Time to practice it again.
I'm deciding which gym class I want to go to this evening - more tiring, or less tiring? How sore do I want to be tomorrow? Because, oh, there will be yoga tomorrow. This is the solution (outside of regular stretching) to getting back in shape for Ballet. Gym classes. Yoga, pilates, barre, and bonus sauna time after it.
The other solution is going back into aerials. That doesn't start until next week.
Overall goals are such:
> Get back to the point of being able to do inverts gracefully. I can still do an invert. I cannot do it gracefully. I cannot chain them.
> Get back to being able to touch feet in a forward bend.
> Get an easy, consistent 90-degree forward leg lift. Atm there is a lot of tension on the upper thigh, and depending on how tired everything is, it's difficult to straighten the knee.
Long term goals:
> Be able to do strongman climbs on silks again. (Basically, hands only, no feet involved. My feet are reserved for toe climbs.)
> Get the shoulder mount on pole. Got close to it before stopping with aerials. I know it's there.

1 hour of strength training and about 2 hours of kayaking. Which would have been quite leisurely, only I did not know the river and had not done any kayaking for ages, so it was very dramatic. Fortunately, the rental kayaks forgive nearly everything.

3 hours in the boulder gym. None of us felt very energetic, but some tops were reached and some tricky start positions solved.
Plus, walked about half an hour in the heat and then rode an electric scooter home for another half hour. The latter is probably not exercise, but it felt that way.
