Hey, EED community!

Here is your daily check-in post! Hope everyone is having a great day!

If you are posting for the first time, or new to the community, please review the community's standards, below.

1. Mod (that's me!) will post a Daily Check In post, for those who prefer to note their daily activities in response to a prompt. Please only place exercise comments here.

2. All members are encouraged to post daily independent posts about their activities, if they prefer that to a prompt.

3. Please place any NON-EXERCISE comments in independent update posts and behind a cut. Some people are sensitive to discussion of diet and nutrition. That is integral to many people's exercise activities, so I want members to be able to discuss that, but for those who are here strictly to log exercise, I would like them to be able to avert their eyes.

4. Everyone is encouraged to introduce themselves, discuss their exercise goals, and post updates on their activities. "I finally made it to running a mile!" or "I kicked up into handstand today!" are updates that we all want to hear about and share! Please put long posts and entries involving diet and nutrition behind a cut, though.

5. Aside from intro posts and injury announcements, please try to include an exercise update in every post.

New to the community, so hi!

Today (well, yesterday now it's past midnight) I completed Week 4 Day 2 of the C25K.

Tomorrow (/today 4th Oct) I'm hoping to get in a nice stretching session and either a 30 Day Shred session or at least 30mins on the exercise bike.

Not today, but yesterday, was the long day at the Y. Thirty minutes of recumbant biking -- the interval program, on level 5. Five minutes on the Arc Trainer, which is all I can do so far. (My goal is to do the stairmaster without DYING, so the Arc Trainer is a step in that direction.)

Then I got the kids out of swim class and dropped K in the kids' fitness class and M in childcare, and went back up to weights.

Let's see. I did a LOT of weights, it being Saturday and I had the time, and I don't get back to the Y until Wednesday. So I won't list it all here. But, y'all, I am so very pleased -- I can do a set of ten squats (with good form!) while holding 50 pounds. This is astonishing to me, considering I could not stand up from a squatting position last December.

Morning yoga (and since yesterday, I can bind in ardha matsyendrasana! I think that may be a side-benefit of the shoulder-opening work).

Then two hours climbing; they've just re-set a wall so I was racing round trying all the new stuff and having a lovely time.

My muscles evidently got very warmed and loosened up because I dropped straight into full hanumanasana during my cool-down stretches; that was a surprise because I've been backing off from the full pose for a while owing to a cranky hamstring attachment.

Does 7 fucking hours of assembling furniture and cleaning count? Including climbing 160 steps loaded with un-assambled furniture.

Yes, 7. I can't believe it myself.

sun salutations on the patio...in the sun LOL

ETA: I think walking UP an incline an additional 175-ish feet above sea level at the bottom of the Old Cog Trail in Manitou Springs (and of course, back down) counts! It took about 20 minutes round trip

Walking, about 30 min. My foot was feeling mostly better, I was able to go nearly as fast as usual.
