Week 5 of my half-marathon training was a long run of 6.5 miles at a 30:60 second run/walk ratio.

It was a pretty good run, although I was kind of tired - got up at 6 am to get to the park before it got too hot, and didn't get enough sleep, but I managed to keep my pace up anyway, averaging just over 16-minute miles, which is a good time for me. My neck and shoulders got a bit sore, which means I was leaning forward too much, so I'll have to pay more attention to my posture when I run, and try to stay upright. Other than that, I was fine.

Training is proceeding on schedule!

*cheers on*

Good on you for getting up early and keeping your pace anyway. :)

Yeah, working out in excessive heat is never nice.

Then again, it's already quite cold around these parts, and shivering while trying to do stretches or situps isn't much better. ;)

Heh, too true. Don't we always gripe a little?
