Hey, EED community!
Here is your daily check-in post! Hope everyone is having a great day!
If you are posting for the first time, or new to the community, please review the community's standards, below.
1. Mod (that's me!) will post a Daily Check In post, for those who prefer to note their daily activities in response to a prompt. Please only place exercise comments here.
2. All members are encouraged to post daily independent posts about their activities, if they prefer that to a prompt.
3. Please place any NON-EXERCISE comments in independent update posts and behind a cut. Some people are sensitive to discussion of diet and nutrition. That is integral to many people's exercise activities, so I want members to be able to discuss that, but for those who are here strictly to log exercise, I would like them to be able to avert their eyes.
4. Everyone is encouraged to introduce themselves, discuss their exercise goals, and post updates on their activities. "I finally made it to running a mile!" or "I kicked up into handstand today!" are updates that we all want to hear about and share! Please put long posts and entries involving diet and nutrition behind a cut, though.
5. Aside from intro posts and injury announcements, please try to include an exercise update in every post.

Date: 2011-07-20 12:56 pm (UTC)Bodyweight box squat: set one, 4 reps; set two, five reps. Fell over unintentionally one time. Ugh.
Bench press: set one, 15kg dumbbells, 8 reps, 12.5kg dumbbells, 2 reps; set two, 15kg dumbbells, 7 reps, 12.5kg dumbbells, 3 reps.
Rows: 22.5kg dumbbell, 2 sets, 10 reps/side.
Shoulder press: 10kg dumbbells, 2 sets, 10 reps. My form's getting better with this lift. When it's good for all ten reps, I'll add more weight.
Stability ball plank: 2 sets, 65 seconds.

Date: 2011-07-20 02:40 pm (UTC)I was short on time after the TGUs, but since I was sore after doing them the week I did not do intervals after lifting and was not sore the week I did do intervals after lifting, I did two minutes of tabatas on the bike. Might have been able to push myself for a third minute, but I was already starting to feel like I was dragging after two, so four was probably right out. We'll see how I do with four minutes when I haven't been holding heavy things over my head beforehand.

Date: 2011-07-21 10:48 pm (UTC)I hadn't done archery in... well, forever, pretty much, and jumped at the opportunity. Fortunately they had a recurved bow very similar to the one I used to shoot, with a low draw weight, and the distance was set up for beginners, so I did not make a total fool of myself *G*.
