Mixed. I really have to push myself to exercise when it's dark outside, even indoor exercise. Some days I only have time to exercise in the morning, but recently I haven't been able to make myself get out of bed in time to do that.
I'm doing fine, but am exercising indoors more than I want to. I like going to dance classes, but I need to get more equipment for outdoor sports so I am not inside all the time.
Okay so far, but my martial arts class is getting ready to break for the next two weeks for the holidays, so I'll have to keep ontop of it to remember to exercise.
Terribly - I'm tired all the time lately, and while I can and do still exercise indoors I can't run in the dark with my dog. :( Also, I'm hurrying to finish up a Christmas fanworks exchange (as well as writing my own piece, I'm running the exchange so have a lot of frantic emailing to do). One thing that is still working while other things aren't; dancing. Yay.
Fortunately, indoor climbing and yoga aren't really affected by the weather. I'd only just dipped into outdoor climbing before the weather got really bad -- I'd like to do more of that as soon as it improves again, not to mention more outdoor swimming next summer.
I'm definitely making more use of my home workout toys (kettlebells and clubbells) rather than going to the gym, but that's partly because I've had some shoulder issues which I really want to stabilize before I push the heavy barbell work again.
Annoyingly, my gym is a uni one that closes over the Christmas-New Year break, so I won't be able to get back into lifting until Jan 4. Another reason why I should get some weights of my own to keep at home!
I've mostly been doing stretching type things at home, as it's much too icy outside to go for a walk. I fell over walking to shul on Saturday and again this morning, and I was wearing sensible shoes both times.
I walk everywhere, because it's no weather for bicycling, and the buses run when they feel like it. I get to the gym less often because it takes more time getting there, and I have to carry my bag around the whole day, but slogging through deep snow or balancing on slippery sidewalks one to two hours a day is one hell of a workout. When I *do* make it to the gym, I notice that my balance and lower body strength are way up. Upper body, not so much...
