If you are posting for the first time, or new to the community, please review the community's standards, below.


1. Mod (that's me!) will post a Daily Check In post, for those who prefer to note their daily activities in response to a prompt. Please only place exercise comments here.

2. All members are encouraged to post daily independent posts about their activities, if they prefer that to a prompt.

3. Please place any NON-EXERCISE comments in independent update posts and behind a cut. Some people are sensitive to discussion of diet and nutrition. That is integral to many people's exercise activities, so I want members to be able to discuss that, but for those who are here strictly to log exercise, I would like them to be able to avert their eyes.

4. Everyone is encouraged to introduce themselves, discuss their exercise goals, and post updates on their activities. "I finally made it to running a mile!" or "I kicked up into handstand today!" are updates that we all want to hear about and share! Please put long posts and entries involving diet and nutrition behind a cut, though.

5. Aside from intro posts and injury announcements, please try to include an exercise update in every post.

Hi there! I just found this comm and I'm excited to be here! I started working on a personal goal of exercising daily recently.

I woke up to the feeling of impending cramps, so I did a yoga routine that's supposed to help with cramps. It's mostly supported back bends and forward bends, and it usually does help.

Morning yoga (the surya namaskara Bs are back in again), miscellaneous stretches to try to loosen up again after yesterday, and 25 minutes of bodyweight squat variants (okay, and some goblet squats with a kettlebell) while watching DVDs.

I needed to do something not involving my arms!

I did my early morning chunk of exercise, the elliptical machine, just fine, but mid-morning at work I was struck by the local variation of the Summer Ick. So now I am home with tea and toast and not planning to do anything more to my body than absolutely necessary. Hopefully if I'm better tomorrow I'll be able to get caught up.

I only did my 20 mins yoga this morning.
I was planning on doing day 2 of the 100 pushups program this evening, but my arms have been aching more and more as the day has gone on - I should have done them first thing too.

It's just the right amount for that time in the morning. I'm just annoyed that I didn't think to do my press ups then too. Hopefully tomorrow.
