I have been really enjoying Sadie Nardini: Core Strength Vinyasa Yoga Power Hour: Whole Body + Abs, but last night I was just *craving* a good long sit in Gomukhasana. My hips felt so, so tight. So I compromised this morning and did about 25 minutes of the Sadie Nardini disc, then switched over to Yoga Shakti and did the Forward Bends and Twists. Jumped up and woke up AG33 for his shower then came back down to do a bit of wall work. I kicked up into handstand and hovered there for about one second before I came down with both feet - THUMP. I didn't even kick up against the wall. I could feel the balance - I know I was vertical. Anyway, switched around and did some half handstand, then went back to the mat for Inversions with Shiva and then Sivasana and a brief seated meditation. Not a bad practice.

GO YOU! That's really fantastic -- maybe you'll make it direct to a free-standing handstand, without ever needing the wall!

Yeah, but being able to feel it is key. And if nothing else, it puts you very very close to doing a wall handstand; you just need to kick that tiny bit more to tip past that and land your feet on the wall.
