Motivation for the Machine
Jul. 26th, 2010 09:09 amExercise machines like treadmills, elliptical machines, and whatnot are very effective, but they can also be very...boring. So how do I keep myself motivated to get on that machine three times a week, month in and month out? With Dr. Who!
I'm a brand-new Who fan, captivated by lovely Matt Smith's captivating loveliness, but I know (who doesn't?) that there was much, much Whoness before him. So I've loaded up on dvd sets, Ninth and Tenth Doctors, and watch one episode each time it's elliptical day. This is the only time I watch these - no sneaking them upstairs to the home theater system. Ellipping time goes by like no time when I'm having so. much. fun! (Today was my first Captain Jack Harkness episode; I've been looking forward to it for ages and ages.)
What's your trick for making machine time go by?
