Hey, EED community!

Here is your daily check-in post! Hope everyone is having a great day!

If you are posting for the first time, or new to the community, please review the community's standards, below.


1. Mod (that's me!) will post a Daily Check In post, for those who prefer to note their daily activities in response to a prompt. Please only place exercise comments here.

2. All members are encouraged to post daily independent posts about their activities, if they prefer that to a prompt.

3. Please place any NON-EXERCISE comments in independent update posts and behind a cut. Some people are sensitive to discussion of diet and nutrition. That is integral to many people's exercise activities, so I want members to be able to discuss that, but for those who are here strictly to log exercise, I would like them to be able to avert their eyes.

4. Everyone is encouraged to introduce themselves, discuss their exercise goals, and post updates on their activities. "I finally made it to running a mile!" or "I kicked up into handstand today!" are updates that we all want to hear about and share! Please put long posts and entries involving diet and nutrition behind a cut, though.

5. Aside from intro posts and injury announcements, please try to include an exercise update in every post.

Power Yoga with Brian Kest. (I still can't decide if I find him unsettling just because he's so different from Barbara Benagh and Rodney Yee, or if it's because he strikes me as slightly skeevy. Hot, but skeevy *grin* Also, I wish he would just stop talking. Jeez.)

Coming up later: 108 pushups! Woo!

Barbara Benagh is chatty, but very mellow. Of course I've been with her for, oh, three years now? Hers was one of the first yoga dvd's I ever tried.

Could be that I'm old and grumpy and suspicious of new yoga instructors people, too *waves cane*

Morning yoga, and I got into unsupported shoulder stand for several whole seconds!

More clubbell learning time, in which I established that I can completely exhaust myself in 12 minutes of moves with a 4kg clubbell. This bodes well.

One hour's Yoga Today class, with lots of lovely bound poses to open my shoulders up.

I made use of the 6 months gym membership I bought and actually went to the gym today! And I did all of my sets and reps, on the weight that I was supposed to (actually think I might up the weight for some of them) and then I did all of my core exercises including the hover of doom which I HAAATE, and then I stretched really thoroughly.

I'm a little bit sore, but not overly.

Saturday and Sunday blur into each other, as I haven't slept, and by the law of sleeps, in my head it's still Saturday.

I did lots of yoga during the twenty-four hour non-stop readathon, to keep me awake. And pushups.
