Here is your daily check-in post!

If you are posting for the first time, or new to the community, please review the community's standards, below.


1. Mod (that's me!) will post a Daily Check In post, for those who prefer to note their daily activities in response to a prompt. Please only place exercise comments here.

2. All members are encouraged to post daily independent posts about their activities, if they prefer that to a prompt.

3. Please place any NON-EXERCISE comments in independent update posts and behind a cut. Some people are sensitive to discussion of diet and nutrition. That is integral to many people's exercise activities, so I want members to be able to discuss that, but for those who are here strictly to log exercise, I would like them to be able to avert their eyes.

4. Everyone is encouraged to introduce themselves, discuss their exercise goals, and post updates on their activities. "I finally made it to running a mile!" or "I kicked up into handstand today!" are updates that we all want to hear about and share! Please put long posts and entries involving diet and nutrition behind a cut, though.

5. Aside from intro posts and injury announcements, please try to include an exercise update in every post.

Morning yoga, couple of Yoga Today video classes -- I'm trying out more classes working the backbends/chest openers theme. Energy's bouncing back a bit after the cold, I think (viruses knock me out of whack really easily).

I went with my friend to the gym. I got on the bike for 30 minutes while I read some homework.

Day one of my October challenge schedule, and since it's a Friday I did wall pushups--5 sets of 10. That last set of 10 I was really feeling it, so I think starting on the wall was a very good idea. I hope my form is okay; I'm standing sort of in mountain pose, arm's length from the wall, and placing my hands right under my shoulders. I'm working to keep a flat plane without locking anything and I'm touching the wall with my nose between each press. Seems to be doing the job.

I also went down to the creek at the bottom of our hill to fish out a piece of junk (that probably blew out of our can). There was the scramble down the tallish steep bank and back up a few times as I looked for a good place to jump across, then the jumping and retrieving and finally the scramble and climb backup the bank and the hill. Was winded when it was all done, so I think that counts.

Tomorrow, crunches! And, if it's as beautiful out as it has been today, maybe a small walk.

Ok, so I did some yoga/stretching and also, I purposely parked far away during all my errands today to make myself walk. And I did some core work. :)

Belated but, I did get some bicep curls in after dinner last night. Kinda token as exercise goes but I hadn't done any in a few days and wanted to get back at it ;_;
