Hey, EED community!

Here is your daily check-in post! Hope everyone is having a great day!

If you are posting for the first time, or new to the community, please review the community's standards, below.


1. Mod (that's me!) will post a Daily Check In post, for those who prefer to note their daily activities in response to a prompt. Please only place exercise comments here.

2. All members are encouraged to post daily independent posts about their activities, if they prefer that to a prompt.

3. Please place any NON-EXERCISE comments in independent update posts and behind a cut. Some people are sensitive to discussion of diet and nutrition. That is integral to many people's exercise activities, so I want members to be able to discuss that, but for those who are here strictly to log exercise, I would like them to be able to avert their eyes.

4. Everyone is encouraged to introduce themselves, discuss their exercise goals, and post updates on their activities. "I finally made it to running a mile!" or "I kicked up into handstand today!" are updates that we all want to hear about and share! Please put long posts and entries involving diet and nutrition behind a cut, though.

5. Aside from intro posts and injury announcements, please try to include an exercise update in every post.

After my new housemates woke me up at a hideous time as they left for church, I did some yoga. Pushups later.

Still got a horrible cold, so I decided to be sensible and not go climbing today.

I did have some energy, though, so I did a Yoga Today class instead, the one working up to Royal Pigeon, and actually made a first stab at it -- albeit with more than a foot of strap between my hands and my foot ...

Mysteriously, the yoga seems to have helped my sinuses.

Rest day today. I climbed on the bike for about ten minutes and was informed in no uncertain terms that my body had had enough. Another 24 hours, including some better sleep and some soft seating -- and I think it's about time to start looking at new saddles, in the name of starting where I am instead of where I was hoping I'd be. I'll be trying coconut oil to speed the breaking-in before I buy a new one, but my bike's made for an upright riding posture, which was a major selling point for me, and I'd much rather change the saddle than the way I ride my bike.

swam laps for 15 minutes - breast stroke which allowed me to keep an eagle eye on Things One and Two while affording me the unfortunate view, when swimming east, straight into the crotch of a bony, leather-skinned woman of indeterminate age, intent on catching the final pool side rays of the season.
