TIL that I needed to go faster on the treadmill for running portions, not slower. It was so much more bearable than trying to maintain a jog.
Treadmill cardio works now.
I did 2.5km with alternating runs and walks. Extra sprint and jog outside.

Date: 2025-02-21 05:44 am (UTC)It turns out 'jogging' may be hazardous to my hip and buttock muscles when I end up straining myself to keep at the machine's opinion of a 'jog', which is not slow enough to be a reasonable walking pace but not fast enough for a decent jog.
I can walk 6km/hr, I can jog at 7.3km/hr. Between those two is the zone where I'm likely to end up straining a buttock with consequences for days after...
