Hey, EED community!

Here is your daily check-in post! Hope everyone is having a great day!

If you are posting for the first time, or new to the community, please review the community's standards, below.


1. Mod (that's me!) will post a Daily Check In post, for those who prefer to note their daily activities in response to a prompt. Please only place exercise comments here.

2. All members are encouraged to post daily independent posts about their activities, if they prefer that to a prompt.

3. Please place any NON-EXERCISE comments in independent update posts and behind a cut. Some people are sensitive to discussion of diet and nutrition. That is integral to many people's exercise activities, so I want members to be able to discuss that, but for those who are here strictly to log exercise, I would like them to be able to avert their eyes.

4. Everyone is encouraged to introduce themselves, discuss their exercise goals, and post updates on their activities. "I finally made it to running a mile!" or "I kicked up into handstand today!" are updates that we all want to hear about and share! Please put long posts and entries involving diet and nutrition behind a cut, though.

5. Aside from intro posts and injury announcements, please try to include an exercise update in every post.

nice! I want to try yoga outside. I've heard the heat helps you settle deep into the poses.

I generally do my yoga early in the day, so if I had had the sense to start this earlier in the summer, that would have been an interesting aspect! What I enjoyed the most was the air moving on my skin.

The weather's been just perfect the past few days. I'm looking forward to porch yoga as often as I can over the next month or so.

I did w3d1 of c25k. I was so worried about the two 3 min intervals, but I ROCKED IT.

and then I rested for about an hour, then I ROCKED day 8 of the 30 Day Shred.

I still have some ST to do and w3d1 of the 100 Pushups program, but I'm feeling pretty good about everything right now. :D

yay! it's tough but it's so worth it. I am going down to a lower bracket than what I started in for w3, but I'm still doing more consecutive pushups than when I started, and I'm really looking forward to getting stronger. :D

Mondays are my off-day, but I had a short hatha-flow class over lunch. Held a forearm balance for over 5 seconds!

I get too excited when I get it right, and lose my form.

One of the teachers I see on the weekend talked about a scissoring action the legs when coming up. I've been building psoas strength and could really feel what she was talking about. That helped a lot.

Morning yoga, then 108 push-ups over the course of the day.

Note to self: doing 108 push-ups the day after bench-pressing is a really bad idea. But sometimes I'm stubborn.

Also, I wrote a post about getting into the free weights room.

2 mile run, and day 1 of the push ups, sit ups and squats program. (Day 9/90 complete! I'm 1/10 of the way done!)
