Hey, EED community!

Here is your daily check-in post! Hope everyone is having a great day!

If you are posting for the first time, or new to the community, please review the community's standards, below.

1. Mod (that's me!) will post a Daily Check In post, for those who prefer to note their daily activities in response to a prompt. Please only place exercise comments here.

2. All members are encouraged to post daily independent posts about their activities, if they prefer that to a prompt.

3. Please place any NON-EXERCISE comments in independent update posts and behind a cut. Some people are sensitive to discussion of diet and nutrition. That is integral to many people's exercise activities, so I want members to be able to discuss that, but for those who are here strictly to log exercise, I would like them to be able to avert their eyes.

4. Everyone is encouraged to introduce themselves, discuss their exercise goals, and post updates on their activities. "I finally made it to running a mile!" or "I kicked up into handstand today!" are updates that we all want to hear about and share! Please put long posts and entries involving diet and nutrition behind a cut, though.

5. Aside from intro posts and injury announcements, please try to include an exercise update in every post.

did my pushup exhaustion test (25 modified) and day 7 of 30 Day Shred. Still on level 1 and still it is kicking my ass. not quite as hard, though, I'm getting through most of it without those 5 second breaks.

planning a 2 mile walk later. and tomorrow is w3 of c25k ... I am so nervous about those 3 minute intervals.

Morning yoga, then free weights time! I was good and worked on my squat and bench press; I deadlifted a bit, but stuck to a relatively low weight (as my back's only just recovered from its chair-induced woe). And I established that I can repeat my four pull-ups for sets, with a decent break in between.

For anyone else working on pull-ups: I've noticed a definite step effect. I mean, a week ago I was on "three pull-ups and enough energy left for a slight shoulder twitch"; then I jumped straight to four.

It can seem like you're not progressing at all, then all of a sudden it happens (whether "it" is your first pull-up or adding an extra rep).

Power Yoga with Rodney Yee. I'm making progress on my Half Moon poses! Afterwards, meditation outside on the porch. (Not quite as satisfying as in the meadow yesterday, surrounded by crickets and butterflies, but still pretty darn wonderful.) And it occurred to me that I can probably bring my mat out there and do my yoga just by turning up the dvd volume a little bit. I'll try that tomorrow and let you know how well it works.

30 minutes on the bike today. Tomorrow it's back to the grindstone with no less than an hour allowed M-F, though!

Ran 2 miles today. I also finished Day 8/90 in my personal 90 day challenge.

Also, I took the tests for 100 push ups, 200 sit ups and 200 squats. I plan to work on all three together over the next 6 weeks. That will leave me with 5 weeks left to go and if my upper body strength has increased enough by then, I'll tackle the pull ups idea.
