Here is your daily check-in post! Hope everyone is having a great day!

If you are posting for the first time, or new to the community, please review the community's standards, below.


1. Mod (that's me!) will post a Daily Check In post, for those who prefer to note their daily activities in response to a prompt. Please only place exercise comments here.

2. All members are encouraged to post daily independent posts about their activities, if they prefer that to a prompt.

3. Please place any NON-EXERCISE comments in independent update posts and behind a cut. Some people are sensitive to discussion of diet and nutrition. That is integral to many people's exercise activities, so I want members to be able to discuss that, but for those who are here strictly to log exercise, I would like them to be able to avert their eyes.

4. Everyone is encouraged to introduce themselves, discuss their exercise goals, and post updates on their activities. "I finally made it to running a mile!" or "I kicked up into handstand today!" are updates that we all want to hear about and share! Please put long posts and entries involving diet and nutrition behind a cut, though.

5. Aside from intro posts and injury announcements, please try to include an exercise update in every post.

Hi! Joined today because I really need to have some accountability for my exercising, and this seemed like a great idea.

As well as joining the comm this morning I purposely parked in the far carpark at work (and didn't whinge), and dug out my pedometer (over 6000 steps recorded while at work.)

I also called my old gym and inquired about transferring my membership to the gym in my home town. I'll continue the process in the next couple of days. It's painful, but it's got to be done if I'm going to get back into the C25K groove.

I've been impressed by the idea of 100 Pushups and 200 situps. Haven't committed to either yet, but - as I say, I'm intrigued. Meanwhile, I'm considering joining a Pilates class on Saturdays at my gym, but we'll see.

The pushups and situps are awesome for building strength, and they go at a nice pace, generally. Do iiiiiit. *grin* And Pilates is supposed to be good.

Did yoga (mostly balances) and day three, week three of pushups. Quite tired today, so going gently.

Did yoga (about 17 minutes?) and then 25 minutes of walking and jogging. I have an appointment soon so I took a shower instead of doing my strength exercises, but this afternoon I'll do them and as many crunches as I can handle.

Meditation last night, 20 minutes on the elliptical machine and very short meditation time this morning. Not sure that I'll get more exercise in today - kind of a lazy afternoon after a busy busy morning.

Did my two-mile walk this morning, followed by crunches and stretches, and then my brother came over to help with some yard clean-up and we loaded up his truck with metal panels from an old shed and some rolls of fencing, then loaded my truck with an old refrigerator which I then took to the dump. Whew!

Had a great workout at the gym, worked so hard! It was my weekly session with my trainer, and he really pushed me. I felt great, but very tired once it was done.
I didn't do anything over the weekend - I found it very difficult to motivate myself without access to this comm (dreamwidth is still refusing to load for me at home).
