Hey, EED community!

Here is your daily check-in post! Hope everyone is having a great day!

If you are posting for the first time, or new to the community, please review the community's standards, below.


1. Mod (that's me!) will post a Daily Check In post, for those who prefer to note their daily activities in response to a prompt. Please only place exercise comments here.

2. All members are encouraged to post daily independent posts about their activities, if they prefer that to a prompt.

3. Please place any NON-EXERCISE comments in independent update posts and behind a cut. Some people are sensitive to discussion of diet and nutrition. That is integral to many people's exercise activities, so I want members to be able to discuss that, but for those who are here strictly to log exercise, I would like them to be able to avert their eyes.

4. Everyone is encouraged to introduce themselves, discuss their exercise goals, and post updates on their activities. "I finally made it to running a mile!" or "I kicked up into handstand today!" are updates that we all want to hear about and share! Please put long posts and entries involving diet and nutrition behind a cut, though.

5. Aside from intro posts and injury announcements, please try to include an exercise update in every post.

I didn't manage the pushups, etc. after the gym last night, so they're my plan for tonight.
I only did 10 minutes random yoga again this morning; although I did get to bed more like 11.30 last night rather than 12.30, I still couldn't get it together this morning. I think it's going to take more than one early night to make my mornings better.
I just went to bravissimo trying on swimming costumes and they are much less comfortable than I remember. Googling tells me shock absorber do a tankini which seems like a perfect compromise, I will have to go up into town tomorrow to see if I can find one.

25 minutes yoga with Baron Baptiste (any opinions on him? so far I'm enjoying the one video of his I've done).

Strength training: lower body. I can tell I'm going to really need to work at this. I'm not as strong in my legs as I thought.

C25K training: still training to start the training. managed 10 minutes; 2 60 second jogging intervals, and two 30 seconds ones. I could have gone a little longer, but OMG HEAT.

All in all I'm proud of myself today. I feel good, too.

I'm just a beginner and I haven't done a lot of different videos! I don't know how to compare or talk about them or anything. I think I'll stick to lurking. :D?

Did twenty minutes of yoga, went for a run. Will do more yoga later at bedtime.

I had intended for Sunday to be my day off... not taking into consideration that doing about 100 prostrations at the Zen Center (while chanting) was going to make my legs as tired as running does! So I took Monday off instead.

And today I ran/walked 2 miles, followed by 10 minutes of crunches and stretches. My time on this run was over a minute faster than my last 2-mile run.

I overslept horribly today, so morning yoga got replaced by morning frantic rushing to get out of the house on time. I hate it when that happens; now I've finally got a pretty regular practice going, I feel it all day if I miss it.

I did get in two hours climbing, then I've been spending about an hour trying to uncrunch my shoulders while watching Avatar: The Last Airbender. Yoga may happen later.

ETA: Yoga happened later (the Yoga Journal podcast evening practice).

I rather stupidly overdid things bigtime last week and I'm only just waking up from zombiedom. Therefore it's just been some stretching today to try and ease myself back into things.
