Hey, EED community!

Here is your daily check-in post! Hope everyone is having a great day!

If you are posting for the first time, or new to the community, please review the community's standards, below.

1. Mod (that's me!) will post a Daily Check In post, for those who prefer to note their daily activities in response to a prompt. Please only place exercise comments here.

2. All members are encouraged to post daily independent posts about their activities, if they prefer that to a prompt.

3. Please place any NON-EXERCISE comments in independent update posts and behind a cut. Some people are sensitive to discussion of diet and nutrition. That is integral to many people's exercise activities, so I want members to be able to discuss that, but for those who are here strictly to log exercise, I would like them to be able to avert their eyes.

4. Everyone is encouraged to introduce themselves, discuss their exercise goals, and post updates on their activities. "I finally made it to running a mile!" or "I kicked up into handstand today!" are updates that we all want to hear about and share! Please put long posts and entries involving diet and nutrition behind a cut, though.

5. Aside from intro posts and injury announcements, please try to include an exercise update in every post.

A little stretching and yoga, then moving dead branches to where they can be hauled away. (Though I am amused because we moved them because they are a fire hazard, and now they are a fire hazard closer to the house.)

Started Tai Chi class at the Y today! I took a year's worth of Tai Chi fifteen years ago, and, as I remember, moving slowly is *hard work*.

After class, a round of bodyweight exercises -- push-ups, pull-ups, prisoner squats, and planks.

Standard CrossFit warm-up.

WOD#1: 3 rounds of
* 30 seconds holding oneself up on the parallette bars
* 30 "superman" back extensions
* 30 sumo deadlift high-pulls with a 32 kg KB (I ran out of time on the last set, only managed 26 reps)

WOD#2:
* 2 minutes of overhead KB swings with 24 kg for max reps. I only managed 9 swings before dropping the bell; I was just too pooped from the previous exercise.
* 1 minute of Russian swings with 20 kg for max reps. I actually managed 43 of these, which sounds a little crazy, but the drop in weight and the rest I got after dropping the bell in the previous round really made a difference.

WOD#3:
Run 400 meters. Then push a big-ass concrete sphere around the gym. Then do 15 burpees.

Tried to do my mile run for the first time in MONTHS, and wound up running most of the uphill part and then walking the rest. Dog was most unimpressed :( Worryingly, I think my iffy foot may have been unimpressed too.
