Aug. 3rd, 2010 09:49 amI woke up this morning with aches and pains, bursitis and arthritis flaring up. But I went into child's pose for a few minutes to relax and stretch, then did a couple of sun salutations to stretch and get the blood moving.
After that, I did my yoga video, then when that was over the pain was gone! So I did 10 minutes of kickboxing and then went for a walk/jog for about 8 minutes.
I got sweaty and out of breath, but when it was over I felt fantastic! It's amazing how good exercise feels, and I always forget when I'm putting it off. Doing it this early in the morning (I started at 7am) not only gets it out of the way, but also sets up my day to be awesome! I get the blood moving, the muscles stretched and worked, and the endorphins flowing, or whatever they do.
No strength training scheduled for the day, so I'm going to ride this wave of awesome for as long as I can. Might do more yoga later if I get stiff and hurty again.
