Hey, EED community!

Here is your daily check-in post! Hope everyone is having a great day!

If you are posting for the first time, or new to the community, please review the community's standards, below.

1. Mod (or someone else) will post a Daily Check In post, for those who prefer to note their daily activities in response to a prompt. Please only place exercise comments here.

2. All members are encouraged to post daily independent posts about their activities, if they prefer that to a prompt.

3. Please place any NON-EXERCISE comments in independent update posts and behind a cut. Some people are sensitive to discussion of diet and nutrition. That is integral to many people's exercise activities, so I want members to be able to discuss that, but for those who are here strictly to log exercise, I would like them to be able to avert their eyes.

4. Everyone is encouraged to introduce themselves, discuss their exercise goals, and post updates on their activities. "I finally made it to running a mile!" or "I kicked up into handstand today!" are updates that we all want to hear about and share! Please put long posts and entries involving diet and nutrition behind a cut, though.

5. Aside from intro posts and injury announcements, please try to include an exercise update in every post.

Awesome! Is that one rep max or multiple reps?

As much as I've been enjoying the upper body focus in stage do a pull-up 6, I'm really looking forward to starting stage 7 so I can do deadlifts again. (Also to buying more plates so I have enough to attempt lifting my bodyweight (and more). Big plates! I need to get me some big plates!)

Very definitely a 1 rep max (I did some sets at more sensible weights, then wanted to see how high I could go). Followed by trying for and failing 1.5 x bodyweight. I knew I wasn't going to make it today, but it's so close ... *makes grabby hands*

Big plates are awesome. Especially for deadlifts; that bit of extra height you get from the big plates is much easier on the back at the bottom of the pull. Various experts suggest using blocks or telephone books under the bar until you get to the big plates.

Did the non-lifting portions of NRoLfA again, adding 10 minutes of doing 10 burpees each minute after the warm-up and planks. Timing shows that I should be able to add in weights and still have time to do this before work as long as everything is ready to go and I get started right away, which means I can keep do the program three days a week, yay.

Today was working out on the cable machine at the karate studio during my kids' class. So, lat pulls, rows, presses. AND, I managed to do two sets of ten prisoner squats! Still can't do split squats, but the prisoner squats are coming along nicely.

Had to take several days off due to pain. Today, a 45 minute flexibility workout. Better, now. :)
