Hey, EED community!

Here is your daily check-in post! Another day living in these bodies. Let's treat them right today!

If you are posting for the first time, or new to the community, please review the community's standards, below.

1. Mod (that's me!) will post a Daily Check In post, for those who prefer to note their daily activities in response to a prompt. Please only place exercise comments here.

2. All members are encouraged to post daily independent posts about their activities, if they prefer that to a prompt.

3. Please place any NON-EXERCISE comments in independent update posts and behind a cut. Some people are sensitive to discussion of diet and nutrition. That is integral to many people's exercise activities, so I want members to be able to discuss that, but for those who are here strictly to log exercise, I would like them to be able to avert their eyes.

4. Everyone is encouraged to introduce themselves, discuss their exercise goals, and post updates on their activities. "I finally made it to running a mile!" or "I kicked up into handstand today!" are updates that we all want to hear about and share! Please put long posts and entries involving diet and nutrition behind a cut, though.

5. Aside from intro posts and injury announcements, please try to include an exercise update in every post.

Some yoga (not very much, today, but doing a little every day is still good) and week two/day one of the hundred pushups program. Definitely finding it easier now.

15 minutes of pilates, a few sun salutations, just trying to keep moving. I have strength training for today to do, and will try to walk in the evening once it cools down. I found a podcast for the c25k but I don't know how good it is yet. Will let you guys know when I try it out! It will probably be another week or so before I feel confident enough to try it.

I do the exercises recommended to me on sparkpeople.com. Some are same ole same ole like pushups, but the others are kinda fun.

This is my favorite! I can pretend I'm a comic book hero while exercising. :D

Oh, yay, that's a great exercise. Same principle as locust pose in yoga, and wonderful for your back.

Also, pretending to be a superhero is very important for fitness -- it's one of the many reasons why I climb *g*.

Did half-assed PT this morning because I was grouchy from having to walk to the store for bread before breakfast; I actually stuck it out and did a second round this evening, partially because I did way more walking today then was strictly recommend - I hiked for about thirty minutes by the river, and it was just lovely.

It makes so much difference having somewhere lovely to walk. Or a walk with a bookshop at the end; I find that works pretty well for me *g*.

I skipped yoga to wash my hair again, but I did make it to the gym after work. My trainer emailed to cancel our session as he had double booked (he was so apologetic, but considering his only daughter is less than a month old I completely understand that he's a bit scattered at the moment). I wavered for a while because I had so much trouble working out on my own last time, but talked myself back into it and went anyway. I ended up having a really good workout, and left feeling that I had done good. I meant to do some yoga before bed, but was far too tired in the end.
