Introduction

Hi, I'm Libby! I'm a quad roller skater in West Virginia. I'm a member of my local roller derby league and also an outdoor trail and street skater. I want to learn how to do some vert quad (ramp skating) someday too. I've been skating seriously for a year now, and before that I hadn't skated since I was 12.

My current goal is to skate 200 miles, outdoors, between August 15th and October 1st. I've skated 45 miles so far. But my big fuzzy long term goal is attaining just a fraction of the skill of my very favorite skaters: Spocky, Rollergirl, Athena and my amazing derby coach Kat von D'Stroya.

Today I skated 1.5 miles on the trails of Oglebay Park. It was a short, but INTENSE workout! Nothing but hills. I loved it, even it was terrifying! (Or maybe because it was terrifying, I'll admit to being a bit of an adrenaline junkie.)

Yay fellow roller derby girl! I live in a town almost entirely built of rather steep hills (and cobbles...) so I don't get to do very much outdoor skating, but I'm well impressed by your outdoor skating progress.

Thank you! I'm lucky to live in a town that has fun hills, flat trails, beautiful parks, and a free outdoor rink. One thing you can say for Wheeling, it's skateable. :)
