Hey, EED community!

Here is your daily check-in post! Hope everyone is having a great day!

If you are posting for the first time, or new to the community, please review the community's standards, below.


1. Mod (that's me!) will post a Daily Check In post, for those who prefer to note their daily activities in response to a prompt. Please only place exercise comments here.

2. All members are encouraged to post daily independent posts about their activities, if they prefer that to a prompt.

3. Please place any NON-EXERCISE comments in independent update posts and behind a cut. Some people are sensitive to discussion of diet and nutrition. That is integral to many people's exercise activities, so I want members to be able to discuss that, but for those who are here strictly to log exercise, I would like them to be able to avert their eyes.

4. Everyone is encouraged to introduce themselves, discuss their exercise goals, and post updates on their activities. "I finally made it to running a mile!" or "I kicked up into handstand today!" are updates that we all want to hear about and share! Please put long posts and entries involving diet and nutrition behind a cut, though.

5. Aside from intro posts and injury announcements, please try to include an exercise update in every post.

Felt a bit tired and had a runny nose all day yesterday and still haven't quite recovered, so just a little yoga-like stretching this morning.

Swimming, 40 minutes, 1km.

Went back to the gym/pool/thing after three weeks of severe avoidance! Yay!
A guy in the next lane kept grabbing my foot! Boo!
Told him to stop it! Yay!
Had an anxiety attack from the stress of confronting him! Boo!

Feeling a lot better today, but I didn't push hard.

Standard arms and abdominals
1 mile on the treadmill @ 2.3mph average.

It's not ten yet and I've already walked almost a mile -- my goal for September is roughly a mile a day (6 miles a week, but I figure a mile a day lets me have an off day or a sick day and still make my goal).

(Now if I can manage to meet my yoga (6x/wk) and resistance training (2x/wk) goals, I'll be good :) And in October I can figure out what to add in or extend.)

Morning yoga, three hours climbing. Then some rehab/prehab exercise for my wrists and elbows at home, to ward off some twinges (ironically, I think it's the push-ups not the climbing that's making my elbows grumpy at the moment).

Crossfit kettlebells today. (Yesterday only my liver got a workout. ;-) )

No flat tires today, so I biked to and from the gym for a 4.5 mile round trip.

Warm up: 2 sets of: 10 x bodyweight squats, 10 x burpees, 10 x standing twists

WOD #1: 20kg kb snatch (10 per side), kb clean (10 per side), kb front squat (10). Hold each movement for 4 seconds & do as many as possible in 10 minutes. I managed 1.5 rounds.

WOD #2: Farmer's carry 800m, with a 20kg kb in each hand. Turns out my grip sucks...I took a lot of breaks.

WOD #3: As many sit-ups as possible. I managed 133 in the time allotted (3-5 minutes, I forget).

Whew!

On purpose: walked to the bank and the grocery store during my lunch break.

Not on purpose: SPRINTED to the student bookstore and arrived just in time to buy the book I needed before they closed.
