Here is your daily check-in post! Hope everyone is having a great day!

If you are posting for the first time, or new to the community, please review the community's standards, below.


1. Mod (that's me!) will post a Daily Check In post, for those who prefer to note their daily activities in response to a prompt. Please only place exercise comments here.

2. All members are encouraged to post daily independent posts about their activities, if they prefer that to a prompt.

3. Please place any NON-EXERCISE comments in independent update posts and behind a cut. Some people are sensitive to discussion of diet and nutrition. That is integral to many people's exercise activities, so I want members to be able to discuss that, but for those who are here strictly to log exercise, I would like them to be able to avert their eyes.

4. Everyone is encouraged to introduce themselves, discuss their exercise goals, and post updates on their activities. "I finally made it to running a mile!" or "I kicked up into handstand today!" are updates that we all want to hear about and share! Please put long posts and entries involving diet and nutrition behind a cut, though.

5. Aside from intro posts and injury announcements, please try to include an exercise update in every post.

Morning yoga, barbells. I mostly stuck to ultra-low reps because I wanted to test my max and not get too worn out. Got personal bests on the deadlift, the overhead squat, and (much to my bogglement) dips. \o/

ETA: Unless I'm very confused, it's not May 22.

Standard Arms and abdominals, but I increased my Bicep curls by 5

Bodyweight squats, 10x2
Bench press, 12.5kg dumbbells, 10x2
Rows, 15kg dumbbell, 10x2
Plank, 30 sec and 60 sec.

14 minutes intervals on bike in the morning.

In the evening, one hour dance class, which was not very intensive, what with it being the sort where you alternate doing stuff across the room and then waiting for the rest of the class to do the same. Also some extra bonus weights, because the gym where the dance class was held had an upper body machine on the same floor and I had some time to kill before the class started. Have now done a lat pull-down using the lat pull-down machine. It is in fact, nothing like a pullover, and the amount of weight I can do on the two exercises are completely different.

Max deadlift at CrossFit this evening. I improved my personal best to a lift of 255 lb. I have a weird feeling that I could in theory do more, but that it's contingent on having perfect form during the lift, and I need to teach myself from experience that I'm capable of maintaining the form.
