Hey, EED community!

Here is your daily check-in post! Hope everyone is having a great day!

If you are posting for the first time, or new to the community, please review the community's standards, below.


1. Mod (that's me!) will post a Daily Check In post, for those who prefer to note their daily activities in response to a prompt. Please only place exercise comments here.

2. All members are encouraged to post daily independent posts about their activities, if they prefer that to a prompt.

3. Please place any NON-EXERCISE comments in independent update posts and behind a cut. Some people are sensitive to discussion of diet and nutrition. That is integral to many people's exercise activities, so I want members to be able to discuss that, but for those who are here strictly to log exercise, I would like them to be able to avert their eyes.

4. Everyone is encouraged to introduce themselves, discuss their exercise goals, and post updates on their activities. "I finally made it to running a mile!" or "I kicked up into handstand today!" are updates that we all want to hear about and share! Please put long posts and entries involving diet and nutrition behind a cut, though.

5. Aside from intro posts and injury announcements, please try to include an exercise update in every post.

Yesterday involved some walking, a lot of cleaning and some moving of furniture (including 2-person pieces, up and down stairs). No "organized" exercise.

14 minutes intervals, which were amazingly not interrupted by the phone call from the plumber I was expecting. Still have not managed a full minute at level seven, but did manage to get ~40 seconds before my legs couldn't take it anymore. Did not quite manage to keep all of the rest of the minute above level five, though most of it was.

Yesterday was a rest day and today I made it to the gym. Still on half of my former routine but I'm determined not to overdo it.

Swimming, half a kilometre, five intervals.

Today I bought new bathers, because the old ones were too big. Unfortunately, the new ones have spindly little straps, and the straps are too long relative to where my boobs sit relative to my shoulders. So they kept on coming off while I swam. The suit had a built-in bra, so I didn't treat everyone present to an exhibition, but it was still too uncomfortable to swim the whole distance. I think maybe if I tie the straps together at the back, lower down, they won't slip off my shoulders? I seem to remember doing that when I was twelve and had the same problem.

Morning yoga, two hours twenty minutes climbing. I managed to achieve a long-held ambition and climb until my fingertips bled.

(I am now trying to mend them with homemade hand balm, because weather permitting I'm off on a climbing trip next week and need to have skin for it, so this was not good timing even though it was fun in a sick twisted way.)
