Hey, EED community!

Here is your daily check-in post! Hope everyone is having a great day!

If you are posting for the first time, or new to the community, please review the community's standards, below.


1. Mod (that's me!) will post a Daily Check In post, for those who prefer to note their daily activities in response to a prompt. Please only place exercise comments here.

2. All members are encouraged to post daily independent posts about their activities, if they prefer that to a prompt.

3. Please place any NON-EXERCISE comments in independent update posts and behind a cut. Some people are sensitive to discussion of diet and nutrition. That is integral to many people's exercise activities, so I want members to be able to discuss that, but for those who are here strictly to log exercise, I would like them to be able to avert their eyes.

4. Everyone is encouraged to introduce themselves, discuss their exercise goals, and post updates on their activities. "I finally made it to running a mile!" or "I kicked up into handstand today!" are updates that we all want to hear about and share! Please put long posts and entries involving diet and nutrition behind a cut, though.

5. Aside from intro posts and injury announcements, please try to include an exercise update in every post.

Hooray! You posted on Monday when it is still Monday for me (ridiculous timezones!) and I get to reply. Um, I wish I had more cheering exercise news, but I only spent 20 minutes on the treadmill. But yesterday, I spent time at the beach and won two games of shark vs pirate (it requires running, not swimming, in case you were wondering)

From the last workout? Not really -- I'm pretty much lifting at my max, so since I didn't want to really push going to failure I only managed to crank out a few more reps than the eight I was doing for each set before.

Except push-ups -- I got to twenty on those. Which I had been able to do before, though I hadn't been doing them with my feet elevated. I'll have to see if my normal push-ups improved any. (I had been doing the 100 push-ups program before I started lifting weights but kept getting stuck improvement-wise and never finished.)

Core Synergistics. Banana Rolls and Superman/Banana still make me drop F-bombs like crazy but are much more pleasant now that I've rearranged the living room such that I don't have to lift appendages over obstacles while rolling or watch that I don't roll into the elliptical.

House-Workout

Today is a "house workout" day because I'm hosting a dinner party tonight.

I've made a cake from scratch -- both arms to beat the batter instead of using a mixer.

I've vacuumed the upstairs and the stairs. My vacuum has no motorized drive, so it's me pushing it around for about 45 minutes. I also moved furniture since it was time for a "deep vacuuming" anyway.

Ashtanga yoga over lunch. Fell out of headstand a bit awkwardly, and now my neck is a little sore.

30 min of running, 15 minutes of walking (my mistake to go running too soon after dinner.... after 30 min, the cramps got too bad so I had to walk home) and 10 min of thera band exercises.
