The return of the prodigal mod
Mar. 31st, 2011 11:41 amSo! 45,000 words written and submitted! I think tomorrow morning, instead of jumping right into the revisions for the first 25k words, I will instead backread this community a bit. I hope everyone is well, exercising, behaving themselves!
I really knuckled down at the beginning of March, and was happily exercising every day. I figured out that now that I am happier doing self-guided practices, I could write from 5:30-6:15 or so while the kids were sleeping, yoga from 6:15 to 6:45 while my oldest got his shower and his own breakfast, then wake up the youngest and let her play with her brother and eat while I grabbed my shower and we could still be out the door on time! (Yes, my life, let me show you it!)
However, I made two major blunders. First, I think I managed to give myself tendonitis in my left forearm and wrist by clenching my fist too tight on the days I did tae bo. Second, I made my yoga toe condition VERY ANGRY by trying ONE tae bo session in bare feet. Not only did it make the yoga toe foot very unhappy, but it also gave me a similar injury on the other side. Srsly. I can't do anything but yoga barefooted. So, as I was enterint the crunch time until I got my second story done, I decided just to lay off completely until both stories were submitted. I'm glad I did. The moderately severe forearm pain is completely gone, and my feet are much better, though I won't be jumping back for a while still.
Today was my first day back to exercising. I did a self-directed session this morning and got good and sweaty. Everything felt fantastic, and the all-over back pain that I have been having from sittign in our terrible computer chair and writing all the time is completely gone today, so yay! However, I expect to be all grannified tomorrow, as I usually am after yoga after a long layoff. Probably tomorrow will be a step day.
And how are YOU doing? :D
