I'm never in danger of sleeping through my alarm the entire school year except during the period from when Daylight Savings Time kicks in and the end of the year. The time change just messes me up completely.

My neighbor that I walk with is also a teacher and she suggested that we get up early every morning and walk. We're on Spring Break, and normally on breaks, I sleep late and exercise later in the day. This time, however, I'm trying the walking thing to see if it helps me adjust to the time change.

Let us know how it goes! The time change hits me hard, too. I think walking with someone else would be helpful, it would be a real challenge to get up early on my own.

At the risk of sounding violent, I think a good exercise for dealing with DST would have to involve punching and kicking some politicians in the face. Excellent cardio, it would get the endorphins flowing, and I find that a well-executed yoko-geri can really open up the hips.
