Hey, EED community!

Here is your daily check-in post! Hope everyone is having a great day!

If you are posting for the first time, or new to the community, please review the community's standards, below.


1. Mod (that's me!) will post a Daily Check In post, for those who prefer to note their daily activities in response to a prompt. Please only place exercise comments here.

2. All members are encouraged to post daily independent posts about their activities, if they prefer that to a prompt.

3. Please place any NON-EXERCISE comments in independent update posts and behind a cut. Some people are sensitive to discussion of diet and nutrition. That is integral to many people's exercise activities, so I want members to be able to discuss that, but for those who are here strictly to log exercise, I would like them to be able to avert their eyes.

4. Everyone is encouraged to introduce themselves, discuss their exercise goals, and post updates on their activities. "I finally made it to running a mile!" or "I kicked up into handstand today!" are updates that we all want to hear about and share! Please put long posts and entries involving diet and nutrition behind a cut, though.

5. Aside from intro posts and injury announcements, please try to include an exercise update in every post.

Morning yoga \o/, then two hours climbing -- in which I was somewhat all over the place as I'm finally back to being able to climb vertically rather than just going sideways ...

Weight training, oh my. Again reminded of why I love weight training - there's always at least one exercise I made progress at, and often small progress on most exercises, while with other sports I am often stuck at one level for a while.

Today it's 5 seconds added to the planks, two more kilograms added for the lunges and step-ups, and two more reps for deadlifts, dumbbell rows and dumbbell shoulder presses. Stagnated only on the bench presses, and I know I am already really good at those.

Now off to the shower and to check out my muscles in the mirror :D

Lots of laps of the town square. Mile, mile and a half, I'm guessing? Also a bit of yoga, in which I discovered why one does not yoga after meals. I don't get why a few rounds of cat pose induces nausea, but at least now I know it does.

CrossFit Level 1 tried to kill me tonight. 800m run, 20 pull-ups (of the hop-up-from-a-box variety 'cause I got way too much blubber for that), 20 dumbell thrusters per side, 20 more pull-ups, and another 800m run. I went in thinking it wouldn't be too bad for some reason. Ha!

Overhead squats all over the freaking place - 100 reps. 50 lbs because you had to snatch it up overhead and my snatch is still wobbly.
