Hey, EED community!

Here is your daily check-in post! Hope everyone is having a great day!

If you are posting for the first time, or new to the community, please review the community's standards, below.


1. Mod (that's me!) will post a Daily Check In post, for those who prefer to note their daily activities in response to a prompt. Please only place exercise comments here.

2. All members are encouraged to post daily independent posts about their activities, if they prefer that to a prompt.

3. Please place any NON-EXERCISE comments in independent update posts and behind a cut. Some people are sensitive to discussion of diet and nutrition. That is integral to many people's exercise activities, so I want members to be able to discuss that, but for those who are here strictly to log exercise, I would like them to be able to avert their eyes.

4. Everyone is encouraged to introduce themselves, discuss their exercise goals, and post updates on their activities. "I finally made it to running a mile!" or "I kicked up into handstand today!" are updates that we all want to hear about and share! Please put long posts and entries involving diet and nutrition behind a cut, though.

5. Aside from intro posts and injury announcements, please try to include an exercise update in every post.

I... don't think I've answered one of these polls before. Anyrate. I'm jame, I aim to do some form of exercise every day. Exercise is defined as "at least a 25 minute walk".

I've... really gotten out of the habit of going to the gym, so for the moment I'm easing myself back into it. I'm doing couch to 5 k, picked up again at week 5 day 1 this morning. It was actually pretty awesome, I wasn't working too hard and I managed to finish all the intervals without stopping, except to tie my shoelace which doesn't count.

I'm going to try yoga tomorrow. I would eventually like to get to the point where I can run every day but that's not necessarily going to happen.

Morning yoga, REST DAY. Though I may sneak in some very slow stretching later to work out the kinks from yesterday.

But my back is fine! woohoo! 133% bodyweight deadlift for the first time ever without messing up my back!!! {/smug}

Blergh. After two weeks of being sick, I am starting the 100 pushups regimen from scratch, and man, that was the right decision. 30 pushups this morning, we'll see if I can wedge in Pilates this evening; probably not.

Legs and shoulders still a bit sore from weight training yesterday, so this was the perfect day for my Yogazone Ultimate Collection to arrive :) I did the 40 minutes of "Stretching for Flexibility" and it was pretty much the perfect difficulty level for me. Can't wait to try the rest.

Three-quarters of a mile on the treadmill. Either there's something about that 0.7 mark that cramps my leg or I'm succumbing to boredom again. Probably both.
