Hey, EED community!

Here is your daily check-in post! Hope everyone is having a great day!

If you are posting for the first time, or new to the community, please review the community's standards, below.

1. Mod (that's me!) will post a Daily Check In post, for those who prefer to note their daily activities in response to a prompt. Please only place exercise comments here.

2. All members are encouraged to post daily independent posts about their activities, if they prefer that to a prompt.

3. Please place any NON-EXERCISE comments in independent update posts and behind a cut. Some people are sensitive to discussion of diet and nutrition. That is integral to many people's exercise activities, so I want members to be able to discuss that, but for those who are here strictly to log exercise, I would like them to be able to avert their eyes.

4. Everyone is encouraged to introduce themselves, discuss their exercise goals, and post updates on their activities. "I finally made it to running a mile!" or "I kicked up into handstand today!" are updates that we all want to hear about and share! Please put long posts and entries involving diet and nutrition behind a cut, though.

5. Aside from intro posts and injury announcements, please try to include an exercise update in every post.

Nine exercises, one set of fifteen reps each. All unweighted. I am so limp and floppy I'm having trouble typing. Of particular interest: the SHELC. I only managed ten reps of that.

Pushups and a long walk, today. And a lot of hopping up and down and cursing at the builders drilling right below my window on the last day before my exam... that counts, right?

25 minutes of weight training - which wasn't that successful on all exercises except for the sit-ups. I am startng to rock those sit--ups ;) 4 * 15 today.

Let's not talk about my deadlifts, shall we?

A nice long holiday session with Barbara Benagh's Power Yoga for Every Body. I did the "Full Workout", Intermediate level, which is an hour and forty minutes. I don't think I've done the full workout but maybe three or four times since I've owned the dvd - it's got intimdating poses like Side Plank, Hand to Big Toe, Pendant, Crane. But today I just relaxed, and by relaxing made significant progress on all of them. (Especially Crane - I'm getting there, bit by bit!)

And I think I've figured out my problem with the standing poses - the combination of my carpeting and thick yoga mat is too cushy. I can do them just fine in the kitchen. So that's where I'll work on them from now on.

Morning yoga, three hours climbing (one hour on my own, two hours inaugural Women's Improvers Class -- didn't get a lot done as I strained some fingers, fuck).

Finally well enough today to go to the gym. Warm-up, weights, stretching. No running, because my breathing is not fully over the cold I had. Did five push-ups on the low bench, which is less than I did four weeks or so ago, but form was a lot better.

And 7 km of bicycling, of course.

Well, after overdoing it at the weekend, I took it easy today with my usual weekday 30 minutes brisk walk and a gentle 10 minute stretch session.

I'll take it back up a notch tomorrow :)

Yesterday was 45 min of a pilates tape and tonight I got home from work at 10pm so popped in Stryker's "PM Peak Performance" again. 25 min and he really focuses on loosening the lower back and hamstrings -- perfect after a long day.

Yesterday I did 45 minutes on my cycle before taking my morning shower. Listening to Every Time I Die helped crank up the intensity.
