Hey, EED community!

Here is your daily check-in post! Hope everyone is having a great day!

If you are posting for the first time, or new to the community, please review the community's standards, below.

1. Mod (that's me!) will post a Daily Check In post, for those who prefer to note their daily activities in response to a prompt. Please only place exercise comments here.

2. All members are encouraged to post daily independent posts about their activities, if they prefer that to a prompt.

3. Please place any NON-EXERCISE comments in independent update posts and behind a cut. Some people are sensitive to discussion of diet and nutrition. That is integral to many people's exercise activities, so I want members to be able to discuss that, but for those who are here strictly to log exercise, I would like them to be able to avert their eyes.

4. Everyone is encouraged to introduce themselves, discuss their exercise goals, and post updates on their activities. "I finally made it to running a mile!" or "I kicked up into handstand today!" are updates that we all want to hear about and share! Please put long posts and entries involving diet and nutrition behind a cut, though.

5. Aside from intro posts and injury announcements, please try to include an exercise update in every post.

Have done yoga and pushups, about to walk into university and back, for what will be a total of about fifty minutes walk.

Achy, and I'm not sure if that's overdoing it in yoga or lifting heavy boxes. I suspect the latter, as yoga-wise I made sure to start gently.

Morning yoga, two hours climbing (didn't get anything in particular done, but at least I got a workout).

Rets day - though kneading the dough for the cookies I am baking was pretty tough on my arms :)

My usual half an hour brisk walk today, plus 20 mins of yoga and 20 mins of strength training.

Morning work: Elliptical machine, meditation.

Evening work: "Balanced Energy" set, Intermediate level, from Barbara Benagh's Power Yoga for Every Body. The only poses that challenged me gave me trouble were Hand to Big Toe and Pendant. Which makes me think it's time to move on to Challenging level, but I really really want to get Pendant under control first. Oh dear.

Catching up on a couple of days here....

Sunday I felt really run down, so I took a day off.
Monday was bugger-me cold and damp to boot, so I cut my walk down from an hour to about half an hour.

Today was very cold so I drove to CrossFit instead of walking. We did another benchmarking workout, "Christine," and it didn't hurt as much as the first two sessions, maybe because it was heavy on legwork.

(I wouldn't mind walking in the cold so much, except I am a sweaty, sweaty dude when I work out, and I know I can't afford to walk home in the cold when I'm soaking wet.)

"Pilates for Dummies" today and I got through the whole thing. \o/

Stryker's PM Peak Performance Yoga last night (I'm really starting to like that tape), and some 20 min relaxation one on Sunday (forget which).

Mondays are Tuesday are my killer long days, so it'll be hard for me to keep going. It's 01/11/11 (lots of 1s there) and I'm on day 11 of my "pilates or yoga every day" self-challenge.
