Here is your daily check-in post! Hope everyone is having a great day!

If you are posting for the first time, or new to the community, please review the community's standards, below.


1. Mod (that's me!) will post a Daily Check In post, for those who prefer to note their daily activities in response to a prompt. Please only place exercise comments here.

2. All members are encouraged to post daily independent posts about their activities, if they prefer that to a prompt.

3. Please place any NON-EXERCISE comments in independent update posts and behind a cut. Some people are sensitive to discussion of diet and nutrition. That is integral to many people's exercise activities, so I want members to be able to discuss that, but for those who are here strictly to log exercise, I would like them to be able to avert their eyes.

4. Everyone is encouraged to introduce themselves, discuss their exercise goals, and post updates on their activities. "I finally made it to running a mile!" or "I kicked up into handstand today!" are updates that we all want to hear about and share! Please put long posts and entries involving diet and nutrition behind a cut, though.

5. Aside from intro posts and injury announcements, please try to include an exercise update in every post.

Morning yoga, two hours climbing (I got a new V4 I gotta new V4!).

There may shortly be grocery-shopping if I can face heading out into the cold and the dark again.

No soreness left in my thighs, so today was another full-body weight training day. Took me about 25 minutes to do a warm-up and the following:

  • barbell deadlifts for my butt and thighs

  • back extensions for my lower back

  • bench presses for my chest

  • squats for my butt and thighs (I might alternate these with deadlifts from now on)

  • bent-over dumbbell rows for my back


Plan for next full-body session: push deadlift or squat to other alternating day and add something for my shoulders. I am strange and love shoulder presses :)

See, I'm finally both exercising and posting regularly! ~is pleased with self~

Added one pose and two muscle exercises to my now Not Entirely Yoga routine on WiiFit. It now lasts a full 15 minutes. Did that before work yesterday. After work I did step aerobics, again with WiiFit: the five minute step routine, and then ten minutes of "free step" where you can switch the TV over to show actual television while the Wii remote tells you how you're going step-wise. I think that's going to become a regular part of my exercise.

30 minutes total on the Wii, plus one of the busiest days at the library that I can remember. Only did one desk shift, though, because I was so wiped out from that shift (more mentally than phsyically) that I kept avoiding going out of the workroom...
