Hey, EED community!

Here is your daily check-in post! Hope everyone is having a great day!

If you are posting for the first time, or new to the community, please review the community's standards, below.


1. Mod (that's me!) will post a Daily Check In post, for those who prefer to note their daily activities in response to a prompt. Please only place exercise comments here.

2. All members are encouraged to post daily independent posts about their activities, if they prefer that to a prompt.

3. Please place any NON-EXERCISE comments in independent update posts and behind a cut. Some people are sensitive to discussion of diet and nutrition. That is integral to many people's exercise activities, so I want members to be able to discuss that, but for those who are here strictly to log exercise, I would like them to be able to avert their eyes.

4. Everyone is encouraged to introduce themselves, discuss their exercise goals, and post updates on their activities. "I finally made it to running a mile!" or "I kicked up into handstand today!" are updates that we all want to hear about and share! Please put long posts and entries involving diet and nutrition behind a cut, though.

5. Aside from intro posts and injury announcements, please try to include an exercise update in every post.

The last day of my vacation (I have to go in for a meeting tomorrow morning, grumble grumble). I ended my Yoga Staycation with an hour and forty minutes of Barbara Benagh's Power Yoga for Every Body. Now I feel all wibbly-wobbly, but in a wonderful way. Off to the bubble bath! Ah, vacation. Why always so short?

started off with c25k training today instead of doing yoga first, thinking maybe that would help me not be so worn out! I don't know if this in particular led me to completing w2d1 of the program, but I did it! I did all 6 intervals.

then I did w1d2 of the 100 pushups program.

then I did (or attempted, anyway) 108 pushups with Shiva Rea. I got 17 minutes in and my arms started hurting too much. I knew I couldn't finish, so I stopped and did some gentle stretching. Ouch! But Shiva Rea is going back to netflix and I'll soon have Jillian Michaels in her place. Don't know how that will work out, wish me luck!

Still have ST to do.

Started my morning workout by moving part of a brush pile that ended up blocking part of my driveway. Then, after 20 minutes of hauling branches, I did my two-mile run/walk, followed by crunches and stretches.

I would like my motivation back now, please. I'm getting out there and doing my runs and my times are fine, but I'm suffering from a bad case of "don't want to."

Got in some yoga and push ups over lunch. Seeing a doc today for back, so I'll have a better idea of what I can push and what I cannot.

Morning yoga, two hours climbing (mostly working on the medium circuit, aaaaah my hands my hands they are burrrrrniiiiiing), a few pull-ups after.

Then a YogaToday class in the evening as I still had spare energy and wanted to stretch out my shoulders.

Doc gave me no restrictions for my back. Yay!

So I did Week 1, Day 2 of JV 50-Pull-Ups. Looking forward to vinyasa class tomorrow.

[waves] Hello! I'm new, both to the comm and to a regular exercise program. I'm still putting together my weight program, but the plan is to build up my overall strength and also take a stab at the couch-to-5k. Exciting!

Today I eased in with Stumptuous' starter program:

* 10 minutes of stretching, jogging in place and other warmup activities.

* Two sets of split squats, 10 per leg

* Two sets of the dumbbell row, 20lbs with 12 reps per arm

* Two sets of the dumbbell bench press, 20lbs with 12 reps per arm

* Two 60 second forearm planks

* 10 minutes on the bike

Will up the weights to 30lbs next time, 20 was too low. Tomorrow, running!

I was hoping to swim today instead of Tuesday but the only local pool that didn't have lessons running proved impossible to get to. Walked to and from work and to the shops instead.
