I have been having a difficult time with my daily exercise recently as I have had a lot of interference with my sleep at night, so instead of working out before going to work, I have been napping.
I had the brainwave that I could take 5 minute breaks at work ever 60-120 minutes to spend five minutes going up and down the stairs, plus a minute doing pushups. So for 6 minutes, get in some upper body, some cardio.
The special added benefit - after I come back to my desk, I'm not cold! I'm always cold at work! It is ridiculous! I NEVER wear a dress or open-toed shoes - I would be crying by the end of the day. I wear pants, socks, long-sleeves, a (worn-out) polar fleece, and a down vest. Sometimes, the down vest comes off in the afternoon when I get a little warm.
Today, I came to work in short-sleeves and I have not regretted it!
Also this morning, I did sneak in about 15 minutes of yoga, divided in half between sun salutations and seated postures.
Hoping if I can get a solid night's sleep tonight, may be able to have a really good yoga session tomorrow morning.
ETA: Well. I would now be severely limping, except both sides are equally OW! Unless something drastic changes overnight, this project is on hold til Tuesday (as I will be off work Monday for the holiday).
