Hey, EED community!

Here is your daily check-in post! Hope everyone is having a great day!

If you are posting for the first time, or new to the community, please review the community's standards, below.


1. Mod (that's me!) will post a Daily Check In post, for those who prefer to note their daily activities in response to a prompt. Please only place exercise comments here.

2. All members are encouraged to post daily independent posts about their activities, if they prefer that to a prompt.

3. Please place any NON-EXERCISE comments in independent update posts and behind a cut. Some people are sensitive to discussion of diet and nutrition. That is integral to many people's exercise activities, so I want members to be able to discuss that, but for those who are here strictly to log exercise, I would like them to be able to avert their eyes.

4. Everyone is encouraged to introduce themselves, discuss their exercise goals, and post updates on their activities. "I finally made it to running a mile!" or "I kicked up into handstand today!" are updates that we all want to hear about and share! Please put long posts and entries involving diet and nutrition behind a cut, though.

5. Aside from intro posts and injury announcements, please try to include an exercise update in every post.

Twenty minutes on the elliptical this morning, which I haven't done since starting weight training. I can't tell if it felt harder because I'm going faster on the high resistance sections than I used to or if it's because I'm out of practice.

Rotator Cuff exercises: 20 of all 3 kinds.
40 Bicep curls
20 "pull ups"
10 Tricep presses

Walked .65 miles on the treadmill at a pace of 2.0 mph, so both further and faster than yesterday.

Legs & Back. Found my resistance band door hanger thingy so I can now do my fake pull-ups properly instead of having to finagle the band around the handlebars of the elliptical or something.

Rode my bike to the bank which maybe doesn't count for much as it's only 7 minutes each way, but better than driving, I think. 45 minutes swimming and stupid, pointless back exercises.

Six laps of Legislative Mall. Speedwalking one side of the square on nearly all the laps. And by 'speedwalking' I mean 'marginally faster than an amble', but it's something.

Walked to and from the high-school track. Ran 5k at the track with three 400m sprints sprinkled in with the jogging. Perhaps I should say "sprints" as they were pretty lugubrious, sprintwise, but at least they were a bit faster than the more joggy bits. Did planks and crunches.
