*waves sheepishly*

As I was PM'd yesterday by someone checking on me... She politely didn't ask me if I were dead, but I could tell it was what she was thinking... Well, I thought I would check in.

I am in the process of trying to write 50k words of Stargate fanfic by March 31. When I got it in my head to do this crazy thing - as you are probably are aware I work full time and have two children, including a four-year-old - well, I realized that I would have to average 500 words a day to make it happen, with more on the weekends. I decided to cut as much internet distraction as possible. Monitoring this community was actually about a 20 minute per day investment, and when you have, oh, 1.5 hours max to do a 30-60 minute workout and write 500-1000 words, well, even 20 minutes can be important to reclaim. That said, I have a special inbox with all my mod messages in it - I get a message every time somebody posts or comments in the community - and nothing has been thrown. I WILL BE BACK! In April.

That said, I have actually managed to maintain my New Year's resolution to do at least some yoga every day. Some days it is a tiny bit, but I have only actually missed 3 days. They were all Saturdays, I believe, and since I often fall down exhausted in my bed and pass out around 8:45 on Saturday night, well, sometimes I forget stuff.

Core strength has really developed, as the Sadie Nardini obsession continues. I cannot say enough about what she can do for your yoga practice. Hip flexibility also a new plateau, as my fall back for every day yoga is basically the Seated Postures and Twists from Shiva's Yoga Shakti. Repetition is the mother of understanding. Or something. Still completely stymied by the bind for Ardha Matseyandrasana (or however you spell it). I think it must be a shoulder flexibility thing. Or else it is one of those things that is much easier for really skinny yogis who have less "flesh" in the way, as the instructors so kindly put it.

So! Not dead! Just writing like a maniac!

Love,
CK

*waves* Hey, chica! Good to hear from you!

(And if you ever need a mod fill-in, or long-term temp, just give me a yell - I'm online as early as you are, most days, and it wouldn't take a minute to post.)

Repetition is the mother of understanding.

Oh, so very very very very true.
