Hey, EED community!

Here is your daily check-in post! Hope everyone is having a great day!

If you are posting for the first time, or new to the community, please review the community's standards, below.


1. Mod (that's me!) will post a Daily Check In post, for those who prefer to note their daily activities in response to a prompt. Please only place exercise comments here.

2. All members are encouraged to post daily independent posts about their activities, if they prefer that to a prompt.

3. Please place any NON-EXERCISE comments in independent update posts and behind a cut. Some people are sensitive to discussion of diet and nutrition. That is integral to many people's exercise activities, so I want members to be able to discuss that, but for those who are here strictly to log exercise, I would like them to be able to avert their eyes.

4. Everyone is encouraged to introduce themselves, discuss their exercise goals, and post updates on their activities. "I finally made it to running a mile!" or "I kicked up into handstand today!" are updates that we all want to hear about and share! Please put long posts and entries involving diet and nutrition behind a cut, though.

5. Aside from intro posts and injury announcements, please try to include an exercise update in every post.

15 minutes of WiiFit Yoga this morning before heading off to day 2 of "rearrange the fiction" at the library. Believe me, that counts as exercise. Plus a 25 minute "easy" (so they say) workout on EA Sports Active this evening.

Really appreciated the Yoga this morning, and have brought home couple of books from the library to look at over the long weekend.

And after all that, it's totally time for bed.

Another nice mellow session with Rodney Yee. A bit wobbly on my Half Moons, but everything else went really well.

Same procedure as every second day. 6 km walking, 90 minutes at the gym: warm-up, strength training, stretching, running.

Shopping for hours in actual physical stores, so low-intensity cardio. Grocery hauling, so strength work. Yoga to stretch things out because I cramped up in the car.

I seem to be posting these on the wrong day's entry, thanks to the gloriousness of the international date line. Anyway this is my 31 December post check-in - happy new year everyone!

Did all of my set today, new exercises being for adductors (it's like "stick a rubber ball between your knees and squeeze", basically) and something my physio calls "swiss ball roll-downs" where you start sitting on the swiss ball with feet further out in front than normal, then roll the ball towards your feet so you end up sorta lying back. It's like sit-ups in reverse!
