Welcome to Exercise Every Day

Are you trying to exercise every day, but maybe need a little external motivation?

Please post about your daily exercise here! Let's keep each other honest! Ramble on or just give us a one-liner.

I look forward to being motivated with you!

On Thursdays, I go in to work late, so Thursday is Yoga day. I did a 70 minute Strength and Flexibility workout (from Barbara Benagh's "Yoga for Beginners" dvd, because I am such a wuss.. Did you do the Rodney Yee today you mentioned yesterday?

Seriously, I'm amazed that you do as much as you do what with kiddies and work and all. I'm an empty-nester and an early riser so I've got plenty of time to exercise (the flip side of that being, NO EXCUSES not to.)

I did fifteen minutes of Crunch's Boot Camp video this morning. That's as long as I could go. I'm also going to walk 15 minutes later today! If I can, that is. Got a cramp walking yesterday and could only do about 8 minutes/half a mile.

I love this comm! I hope it does well. I just started a new fitness/lifestyle program and most of my flist is uninterested. lol

Same here. I post my diet and exercise stuff behind cuts anyway because I know some of my flist is either triggered by talk of diet and exercise, or really uncomfortable. :\

*waves hi shyly* What a great idea!

I'm trying to get motivated to start exercising again... does that count, lol?

No, seriously, I used to exercise and do yoga a ton, then the last year or so really fell off the wagon. I love the idea of a check in place. I may not post much, but will definitely be using this as inspiration. I used to frequent a huge internet exercise board, but love the idea of a dw place.

I hugely want to get back to doing yoga, plus various other things.

Ahaha, I found a related icon, that's something!

No, seriously, it really helps to have something on here to gently push me in the right direction.<333

After years of not moving, I have just joined a gym. I went for my first workout with a trainer yesterday and am really feeling it in my legs today. Walking up and down all the stairs at work today has been a challenge, but I am determined to make exercise a daily thing.
I am also going to actually do yoga at home rather than just thinking about it. This com is just the thing I need to help me.

It's not something I can afford to do long term, but to get me started I am seeing him for half an hour a week, and then working out on my own for the rest of the week. I just need someone to start me off with good form, advice on what I should be doing, etc. I give up far too soon on my own - I'm always worried I'll hurt myself - having him there gives me the confidence to keep going.
I'd love to go to a yoga class, but I am embarrassed about how not bendy I am. I am so impressed by how many free resources there are for it - youtube is my teacher for now.

Don't know how far I walked today but I'm guessing half a mile to a mile. (Why the campus has the testing center way far away from everything else...)

Doubt it. The other buildings on campus are all within fifty yards of each other tops. (Little dinky community-college campus.) There is plenty of room for the testing center building within fifty yards of the rest of the buildings.
