Tuesday, September 28, 2010, Check-In
Hey, EED community!
Here is your daily check-in post! Hope everyone is having a great day!
If you are posting for the first time, or new to the community, please review the community's standards, below.
1. Mod (that's me!) will post a Daily Check In post, for those who prefer to note their daily activities in response to a prompt. Please only place exercise comments here.
2. All members are encouraged to post daily independent posts about their activities, if they prefer that to a prompt.
3. Please place any NON-EXERCISE comments in independent update posts and behind a cut. Some people are sensitive to discussion of diet and nutrition. That is integral to many people's exercise activities, so I want members to be able to discuss that, but for those who are here strictly to log exercise, I would like them to be able to avert their eyes.
4. Everyone is encouraged to introduce themselves, discuss their exercise goals, and post updates on their activities. "I finally made it to running a mile!" or "I kicked up into handstand today!" are updates that we all want to hear about and share! Please put long posts and entries involving diet and nutrition behind a cut, though.
5. Aside from intro posts and injury announcements, please try to include an exercise update in every post.

I just finished my 3rd day of the 30 Day Shred and I'm waiting for a conference call before I go and run.
I'm going to try and kick it up a notch until Sunday. See what happens.

And I inadvertently shocked the climbing wall staff by doing Pigeon pose with the back leg bent up as part of my post-climbing stretches; I heard "[Realname], What. Are. You. Doing?" and turned round to see them all gawping and exclaiming over how anyone could be that flexible.
I told them that really hardcore people did Royal Pigeon, and described it; they were even more appalled.
Climber boys can be very easy to shock. *g*

I am imagining you climbing under the influence of Nyquil...

It's sort of adorable, really.

*snerks* Nah, Nurofen C&F doesn't have antihistamines or anything sedating in it.
It turns out pseudoephedrine doesn't do great things for my tremor, though (who'da thunk?). Which would have been annoying if I'd been pushing myself on anything, but I wasn't.

Seeing trainer again tomorrow. Oh, God. Do not want... but want to stop hurting myself trying to clean the house. So. Yeah.

And yeah, what
FWIW, the delayed onset muscle soreness is usually much much worse when you first start a new exercise activity, and then things settle down quite rapidly.
But go easy on yourself tomorrow. Let the trainer know if you're still hurting. It might be a time to work on form and learning new things, rather than pushing yourself to the limit.

Didn't meet the exit criteria to start the next level, so I'll repeat week 3 of JV level, as specified in The Plan.
