Hey, EED community!

Here is your daily check-in post! Hope everyone is having a great day!

If you are posting for the first time, or new to the community, please review the community's standards, below.


1. Mod (that's me!) will post a Daily Check In post, for those who prefer to note their daily activities in response to a prompt. Please only place exercise comments here.

2. All members are encouraged to post daily independent posts about their activities, if they prefer that to a prompt.

3. Please place any NON-EXERCISE comments in independent update posts and behind a cut. Some people are sensitive to discussion of diet and nutrition. That is integral to many people's exercise activities, so I want members to be able to discuss that, but for those who are here strictly to log exercise, I would like them to be able to avert their eyes.

4. Everyone is encouraged to introduce themselves, discuss their exercise goals, and post updates on their activities. "I finally made it to running a mile!" or "I kicked up into handstand today!" are updates that we all want to hear about and share! Please put long posts and entries involving diet and nutrition behind a cut, though.

5. Aside from intro posts and injury announcements, please try to include an exercise update in every post.

Yesterday I did 20 minutes of warm-up cardio followed by about 40 minutes on weights. I did:

3 sets of 10 lunges with a 15kg weight
3 sets of 8 with 10kg on the BICEP MACHINE
3 sets of 8 shoulder lifts with 4kg weights
3 sets of 10 with 10kg on the LATERAL MACHINE.

I also fended off my first Hello, You Appear To Be A Woman Lifting Weights, Let Me Help You With That mansplainer! \o/

Morning yoga, two hours climbing -- not very strenuous, as I was trying to pace myself in the hope of finally being able to link this damn V4 (frustrating, but it's so cool).

And a Yoga Today class, working on getting the bend in my upper back.

Went to first real session with the personal trainer. He was going a little light on the weight, since we were just starting out; but, he got in more exercises then he had planned on.

I'm nicely worn out. I got there early and warmed up with some sun salutations. I also have pull ups, tonight.

Does ear-splitting, rib-rattling coughing count as exercise? Ughhh.

Although I did do some mild yoga and pushups, too. And walked.

Did 30 day shred for the second time today. My muscles were surprisingly unsore from the last one but I can really feel them now.

Shiva Rea Daily Energy dvd: Solar Meditation, Fire, Shanti, Lunar Meditation. For "Fire", I did ten plank pushups in each set - no knee pushups today. Woo! Also, ow. Shanti, afterwards, is just so delicious and relaxing I feel all gooey. A nice feeling.

Yoga first thing in the morning, maybe 30 minutes. Walk to vote and back, about 25 minutes

Half hour walk, fifteen minutes yoga, fifteen minutes on the ski machine.
