Hey, EED community!

Here is your daily check-in post! Hope everyone is having a great day!

If you are posting for the first time, or new to the community, please review the community's standards, below.


1. Mod (that's me!) will post a Daily Check In post, for those who prefer to note their daily activities in response to a prompt. Please only place exercise comments here.

2. All members are encouraged to post daily independent posts about their activities, if they prefer that to a prompt.

3. Please place any NON-EXERCISE comments in independent update posts and behind a cut. Some people are sensitive to discussion of diet and nutrition. That is integral to many people's exercise activities, so I want members to be able to discuss that, but for those who are here strictly to log exercise, I would like them to be able to avert their eyes.

4. Everyone is encouraged to introduce themselves, discuss their exercise goals, and post updates on their activities. "I finally made it to running a mile!" or "I kicked up into handstand today!" are updates that we all want to hear about and share! Please put long posts and entries involving diet and nutrition behind a cut, though.

5. Aside from intro posts and injury announcements, please try to include an exercise update in every post.

Did yoga (mostly standing poses, today), and situps. And I ran around fixing everyone's internet when suddenly all my housemates couldn't get on the network, but much as that raised my heart rate, I don't think it counts.

"Balanced Energy" workout. At one point this would have seemed long (65 minutes) but I've managed so many 45 to 50 minute ones recently, on regular workdays, that this seemed to go very quickly!

As I said yesterday it was my first gym day ever, and I really enjoyed myself. I'm aiming to go at least three times a week for at least 45 minutes, for at least 30 minutes of cardio. Other days I am aiming to walk for at least 30 minutes.

I plan to start strength training, but I think I need to get comfortable in the gym space first!

I did 25 minutes running with a three-minute walking warmup and cooldown, then a 25-minute cycling program.

I think I need to get some new exercise tunes as I was falling back on Huey Lewis and the News pretty heavily.

Ran a couple miles, pretty fast. But, didn't get all drippy-wet like I normally do. Then some yoga (stretches, balances, inversions).

Morning yoga, two hours climbing, and afterwards I discovered that my chalkbag's belt makes a decent yoga strap substitute, so I got to do some of my Royal Pigeon work during my cool-down.

I did the Yoga Today Royal Pigeon class at home, but my back was feeling crunchy. *whines*

So, uh, I got my October goal and then some, haha.

Deadlifted a grand total of 1.5 times my bodyweight with an extra 5 pounds on top. Not gonna lie, feeling pretty chuffed right now! Woot!
