Day Summary Jan. 14

I switched from a job where I was on my feet all day, pre-pandemic, to an office job, post?pandemic, during?pandemic, so I feel the need to keep track of things because I'm doing so much less than I was. I have my Apple watch set to give me stand reminders - that's how bad it's gotten.

So each day, I plan to post what I did the day before.

Workout: 1.81 miles
Steps: 5,240
Total Distance (including workout): 2.63 miles

I feel like I need to figure out how to set that to kilometers, because they're more precise than miles.

I have reminders to take short walks every hour. It's annoying I have to do that, but also a godsend that I can get up every hour.

Yes, it's annoying, especially when you are in the middle of a super productive streak but, it's so important to your health and overall productivity.

Good!

And yes, it's important to take stand/eye rest breaks when you have office work.

I use a free open source windows/linux program called Workrave which forces me to take 30 second typing breaks and longer stretch/move breaks.

If anybody is interested, it can be found here -- https://github.com/rcaelers/workrave/releases/tag/v1_10_44
