11 June 2017 How is it going?

Hello all :)

Haven't done my exercise yet today - but there are still hours in the day, so perhaps later (either that or a30 mins walk, both are good for me).

How about you all? Remember, baby steps are good and do count :)

Really "baby steps" today: Went to the boulder hall, first time since my accident last August (falling out of the wall, tearing the ligaments in my ankle).

I spent about 1 hour doing the easy-easy routes, mostly half-way (loss of nerve more than loss of what little skill I had a year ago), practised controlled jumping off the wall from less than 1 metre high, and made a lot of breaks to recover my courage. Well. It's a start.

I went for a swim with the children in the morning and to the playground with them in the afternoon. Definitely got exercise. :D

Went to Crossfit. Did:

3 rds of Cindy (1 round, scaled version: 5 ring rows, 10 incline push ups, 15 air squats)
12 35kg Deadlifts (still nursing a herniated disc in my neck, so keeping the weights light)
2 rds of Cindy
9 Deadlifts
1 rd of Cindy
6 Deadlifts

in 12 minutes, 27 seconds.

Preceded by warm up and followed by cool down.
