Introduction

Hi, I'm new. *waves*

I do mostly strength training, some running, and am still looking for something energetic and fun to put that new strength and fitness into use, which will (ideally) do something for my coordination, too. Currently I'm trying Capoeira, but I might "shop around" a little more.

I also walk or bicycle daily, but that's more for getting from A to B than for exercise, but which I will probably count as exercise for purpose of logging it here.

My goals are mostly to be able to deal with daily life well -- be it running to catch a the bus, helping friends move, deal with a broken elevator or schlepping bags of cat litter. More exercise-focused, I want to be able to do a push-up before Spring, and increase my running speed over short distances (less than one kilometre).

Hi! Capoeira has always struck me as fascinating and somewhat terrifying -- I'd be interested to know more about how you're finding it.
