September 27, 2010, Check-In

Hey, EED community!

Here is your daily check-in post! Hope everyone is having a great day!

If you are posting for the first time, or new to the community, please review the community's standards, below.


1. Mod (that's me!) will post a Daily Check In post, for those who prefer to note their daily activities in response to a prompt. Please only place exercise comments here.

2. All members are encouraged to post daily independent posts about their activities, if they prefer that to a prompt.

3. Please place any NON-EXERCISE comments in independent update posts and behind a cut. Some people are sensitive to discussion of diet and nutrition. That is integral to many people's exercise activities, so I want members to be able to discuss that, but for those who are here strictly to log exercise, I would like them to be able to avert their eyes.

4. Everyone is encouraged to introduce themselves, discuss their exercise goals, and post updates on their activities. "I finally made it to running a mile!" or "I kicked up into handstand today!" are updates that we all want to hear about and share! Please put long posts and entries involving diet and nutrition behind a cut, though.

5. Aside from intro posts and injury announcements, please try to include an exercise update in every post.

Did week 1, day 1 of the 200 Situps program. Did much better than I thought I would, with my last set maxing out at 16 situps!

I did level 2, day 4 of the 30 Day Shred.

I'm supposed to do w4d1 of c25k today. it is rainy, my knee hurts, and I don't wanna even try two five minute intervals. anybody got any great motivational advice for me?

starting over today with week one of 100 pushups. I am going to get through this program if it kills me.

30 minute walk with Army wife whose husband has been deployed for 200 days already and still have 5 mos left...with no mid-tour leave...and two daughters at home...and this is the third deployment. Yeah. Walking was what I was thinking about, too.

Was ill all weekend, and slept through most of it. So, I hardly slept at all last night.

Still got in a light yoga class at lunch. If I'm functional this evening, I'll try my exit test for the JV Level of 50 pull ups. Otherwise, I'll do it tomorrow.

Morning yoga, grocery-schlepping, and a day of trying to decide if the nasty cold's going to break or turn out to be nasty flu instead.

Then a low-key 40 minutes of hanumanasana work while watching documentaries on the laptop.

Evening yoga practice, about 40 minutes. No exercise yesterday, I was still under the weather and felt exhausted after just my weekly shopping and cooking.

13 push ups this morning before work. It's not great, but it's a start.
