Hey, EED community!

Here is your daily check-in post! Hope everyone is having a great day!

If you are posting for the first time, or new to the community, please review the community's standards, below.


1. Mod (that's me!) will post a Daily Check In post, for those who prefer to note their daily activities in response to a prompt. Please only place exercise comments here.

2. All members are encouraged to post daily independent posts about their activities, if they prefer that to a prompt.

3. Please place any NON-EXERCISE comments in independent update posts and behind a cut. Some people are sensitive to discussion of diet and nutrition. That is integral to many people's exercise activities, so I want members to be able to discuss that, but for those who are here strictly to log exercise, I would like them to be able to avert their eyes.

4. Everyone is encouraged to introduce themselves, discuss their exercise goals, and post updates on their activities. "I finally made it to running a mile!" or "I kicked up into handstand today!" are updates that we all want to hear about and share! Please put long posts and entries involving diet and nutrition behind a cut, though.

5. Aside from intro posts and injury announcements, please try to include an exercise update in every post.

Some unexpected schedule changes this week will result in changes to my regular exercise routines *grumble grumble*

I did the 108 pushups last night. This morning (because I was awake early) I did a 45-minute Good Morning Extended yoga session. Probably I can fit another one of those in on Thursday, since I won't be able to do my regular Thursday long session. *thinking out loud here, sorry* Another 108 pushups tonight or tomorrow? Elliptical machine tomorrow? Oh, dear. Decisions, decisions.

Went for a run. Will do yoga later.

You guys are so good at handholding -- I have a specialist appointment with a doctor in an hour ish. It isn't to do with exercise, but I need good thoughts and handholding on all quarters! Please?

Two mile run/walk followed by crunches and stretches. I'm so glad the weather is cooling down so I can sleep in until 8 am and run without frying my brain. But I need to start thinking about getting some cold-weather running clothes for when it really gets cold.

Morning yoga, two hours climbing -- kind of laidback as I didn't get to the wall until it was late and fairly crowded.

In my morning yoga routine, I'm experimenting with trying to add in the extra chaturanga dandasana you get in some variations of sun salutations -- so you go chaturanga --> up dog --> chaturanga --> down dog. It's hard, and I'm only trying it with surya A so far.

Repeated again w1d1 of 100 pushups: 2 on the floor, 2 against the arm of the sofa (bloody OW -- why was this harder than the floor?) and the rest of the sets against the kitchen counter.

Also repeated the exhaustion tests for situps (45 - average) and squats (50 - excellent)

Hoping to get a walk and some yoga in later today. Not sure how that will pan out.

Had to stay home with sick kiddo. Got in week 2, day 1 of the 50 pull up JV series. Followed by shoulder openers. Various hip openers throughout the day from sitting on the floor.

Day 3 of 90 crossed off! I ran 2 miles yesterday morning. Which was good, since yesterday evening, I got some sort of nasty stomach bug. I'm feeling better today, but not super...

Swam 54 x 22 metres. Not so sure about the swimming. Doesn't get me out of breath, and I can't seem to just try harder because I'm not a very good swimmer and I sort of only have one speed. I think I should persist because the fear attached to the whole experience is reducing, but on some busy nights it feels like time I should spend doing something else.
