We are so great!

Guys! For three days running, we have had 14 members report exercise!

Are we Resolutioneers, as my cousin so scornfully describes the folks who start shoing up at his gym in January? MAYBE! But we are awesome right now, anyway!

How many of us are resolving to daily exercise in the new year? This is such a time for reviewing our lives and setting new goals. I hope this community can be a supportive place and an inspiration to be more than a Resolutioneer as the determination of the holiday season yields to the stresses of daily life.

For those who might be including diet modifications and weight-loss in your New Year's resolutions, I have hit on a lovely website for tracking food and exercise: http://www.myfitnesspal.com. Free, extremely easy to use (endorsed by a friend in Newcastle, too, you UK folks), and provides an optional networking feature for those who want a support group. So far I have received exactly ZERO spam from my participation in the site. If you join it and want a friend, I am baranduin.

being positive rather than cynical, it could be also that everyone is still away from work & making great use of their time off to start a new habit ???

That said I am guilty of not posting as many of the regulars seem to be into the yoga/walking thing not lifting heavy weights

You should post more! Some of us do the heavy weights thing as well as yoga. *g*

I'm abstaining from barbell lifts right now until I get some shoulder problems sorted out, but I have a deep love for my kettlebells.

well with such replies how could I not give regular posting another go :)

I also totally agree you shd not spend hours doing this stuff am in/out of the gym in 45 mins while others seem to live in there ??? reckon that is why weights/gyms get a bad rap
