Paleo? Nutrition? Looking for/creating a community.

Anyone else doing paleo eating?  I'm not interested in being fanatical about it, or in losing weight, but there's a good chance it could be really good for my health. I have to be very careful about discussing this stuff due to my ED issues. While I'm working on my fitness level, I'm still a HAES advocate (Health At Every Size).

Is anyone interested in an "Alternative Eating" community? By which I mean all kinds of alternatives. I'm gluten free, allergic to soy, you name it. I'd love a community about adjusting to affordable, convenient alternatives that suit my diet.  Again, no weight loss, no preaching, just substitutions and short cuts and things that would make life easier. If there is one, great! If not, I'd be happy to do a community for it.

There's [community profile] playeatsleep for paleo/primal eating (I lean that way -- not interested in turning it into a cult or being rigid about it, but my body definitely seems to be happier given lots of fish, meat, veg, fruit and nuts, with some dairy and occasional grains on the side).

And [community profile] cookability (cooking for people with limited spoon owing to disability or illness) seems to have a lot of recipes posted with attention to whether they're gluten-free, appropriate for specific dietary needs, and so forth.

Neither's exactly what you're looking for, but you might be able to open up some discussions there; it'd be good to see alternative eating comms like that discussing ways to be ED-safe.

Belatedly -- what do you feel makes a comm ED-safe? Things like discussions of weight and weight loss going behind a cut? I'd sort of like to raise the issue at [community profile] playeatsleep.
