something like an intro

Howdy all -- I've been commenting on the daily posts almost regularly, so I thought I'd say hello and introduce myself.

Before the cut tag, let me say I really like this comm because it is so damn positive. People post here with triumphs and personal goals, with question about things, with useful information. Posts here tend to be about people who are working, taking action, doing things to make themselves happier. I really like that. Thanks, everybody.

ENDORPHINS WHAT ENDORPHINS I AM LIKE THIS ALL THE TIME

Apparently something in all the shoulder mobility/stability work I'm doing has made a difference, because today I could do overhead presses without my shoulder protesting.

Emboldened by this, I DID MY FIRST EVER OVERHEAD SQUAT USING THE OLYMPIC BAR. This is a big milestone for me and something I really, really wanted.

By the time I was cooling down, my upper back was feeling very warmed up and open, and I'd been doing wheel stuff on and off all day -- and also no-one else was in the weights room to see me embarrass myself. So I tried walking my hands down the wall into a back bridge, and got all the way down to a handspan or so above the floor before I collapsed.

And I managed to collapse without landing on my head, which is always good.

It was a good session. Happy now.
