weirdquark: woman with barbell across shoulders (weights)

Weights. Did a new routine that was supposed to only take ~20 min and it did in fact only take 20 min, which was awesome. It also throws in back squats, which I haven't done for a while. The last time I did squats back in stage 1, I was using dumbbells, but I recently acquired a barbell and jury-rigged something so I sort of have a squat rack, so I can now do front and back squats without being limited by how much I can curl the weight to my shoulders. Legs not feeling it, probably because I had no idea how much I could squat with a weight on my back. So I started low and added ten pounds each set. The last set felt like it was about at what I could do for the number of reps that I was doing, so we'll see how it goes when I do three sets at that weight rather than having what was basically an extended warm-up.
